- Researchers may find your application more trustworthy if your profile is verified.
- Some researchers prefer participants who have an online presence.
- For LinkedIn specifically, researchers may be more likely to select you if your profile matches their recruiting criteria.

How do I connect my social media accounts?
From the browse studies page
- Log in to your account
- Go to the Browse studies page.
- In the banner near the top of the page, select Connect with Facebook or Connect with LinkedIn and follow the prompts.

From your profile
You can also connect your LinkedIn profile directly from your profile page.
- Log in to your account
- Select Edit profile.
- Scroll to Professional details and enter your public LinkedIn profile URL in the field provided.

What do researchers see?
Researchers in studies you've applied to will see an icon next to your name for each connected profile. This can help give researchers more confidence in your application. If you've connected your LinkedIn account, they can select the icon to view your public LinkedIn profile.
