Get your device ready
Before you start your study, take a few minutes to check your setup. This helps you focus on sharing your feedback without worrying about any technical issues.
Use a supported device and make sure your setup is stable
You can avoid most issues when you:
- Use a stable internet connection
- Update your browser or operating system
- Plug in or fully charge your device
Check your setup for voice, screen, or camera recording
Some studies require you to speak, share your screen, or use your camera. Taking a moment to set things up helps things keep running smoothly.
Test your microphone

Set up the recorder (if required)

Follow the instructions and think out loud
Read the scenario, complete each task in order, and explain what you're doing and why as you go.
Speak honestly
Share what you truly think, even if something feels confusing or doesn't meet your expectations. Honest feedback helps teams improve.
Try saying things like:
- "I'm not sure what to select here."
- "I thought this would take me somewhere else."
- "I like how this part works — it's really clear."
- "I'm confused by this page layout."

Know when to pause or ask for help
Sometimes things don't go as planned, and that's okay. If you run into a technical issue or feel stuck or unsure about what to do next, it's better to pause than to guess.
Pause the study if something isn't working
