If you completed a study and haven't received your incentive yet, here's how to check what's going on, step by step.
Step 1: Check the timeline
Researchers have 10 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays) after the study deadline, session date, or task expiration date to mark attendance and release your incentive.
This date may be different from the day you actually completed the study. You can find the right date in your account under My studies or in your confirmation email.
If a researcher's incentive timeline is longer than 10 business days, it'll be included in the study details they provided.
Example: This study pays out 14 days after completion, longer than the standard 10-day window.
Fewer than 10 business days since your study deadline? Your incentive is most likely still on its way. Check back once that window has passed.
Exactly your 10th business day? The researcher still has until the end of today to send your incentive. If it hasn't arrived by tomorrow, move on to the next steps below.
Step 2: Check your incentive type and study status
Log into your account, go to the My Studies tab, and find the study. There are two things to check:

Also check your incentive type. Does it say "choice of dozens of digital gift cards," or a specific brand like Amazon or Visa? This tells you who's sending your payment, which matters for the next steps below.
Step 3: Check your spam and junk folders
Incentive emails sometimes land somewhere other than your main inbox.
Is the incentive type "choice of dozens of digital gift cards"? Look for an email from compensation@userinterviews.com.
Is the incentive type a specific gift card brand or other payment method? The researcher is sending it directly, and it may come from an email address you don't recognize. Check your spam, junk, and any other folders.
Found it? Great, you're all set. Still don't see it? Move on to the next step.
Step 4: Reach out to the researcher
If your incentive is coming from the researcher directly (not "choice of dozens of digital gift cards"), send them a message through the Messages tool on your study page.
Researchers can often provide a quick update on when your incentive will arrive. You can also reach out to us directly so we can investigate and provide an update.
