Researchers reserve the right to remove participants from their study.
Here are a few reasons why your session may have been canceled:
- You were accidentally removed. If this happens, you can use the link in your cancellation email to sign back up if spots are still available.
- The study criteria have changed, and you're no longer a fit.
- There was an issue with your responses.
- You were unresponsive to the researcher's messages. To avoid this, check your messaging portal whenever you get an email or text alert about a new message.
Will I receive a cancellation incentive?
If a researcher cancels your session, they may offer a cancellation incentive of 25% of the full study amount. This is at their discretion and will be sent once the study has closed, which can take 1 to 3 weeks after your session.
If you were removed for failing to meet eligibility criteria or for being unresponsive, you won't receive the cancellation incentive.
If you're not sure why you were removed or have questions about next steps, contact our support team and we'll help you out.
