Sometimes a screener question doesn’t include an answer that’s true for you, such as “None” or “None of the above.” Here’s what to do, and what happens to the answers you’ve already given.
In this article:
What should I do if no screener answer fits?
Don’t choose an answer that isn’t true. Researchers rely on honest screener answers to find the right participants. Answers that aren’t true can lead to a withheld incentive or disqualification from future studies. Learn which policies can affect your account.
Let us know about the question. Researchers write their own screeners, so only the research team can add a missing answer. Our Support team passes screener errors to the research team that owns the study. When you contact us, include the study name and the question that’s missing an answer.
Will I lose my answers if I leave the screener?
Your answers are saved page by page, once you move past the first page of the screener.
- If you leave after the first page, open the same screener link again. You’ll pick up where you left off.
- If you leave partway through a page, the answers on that page aren’t saved. When you return, you’ll go back to that page and answer those questions again.
- If you leave on the first page, none of your answers are saved, and you’ll start from the beginning.
